Gener8-ing Theatre in the South East

Gener8 Theatre in Mt Gambier has received a further $13,500 in funding from the Regional Arts Fund for their immersive production, 'Cold As Ice'.

The production will see 11 artists come together in an extensive creative development to explore the social issues around the use of methamphetamines, particularly in regional Australia.

Senator the Hon Mitch Fifield, Minister for the Arts and Tony Pasin, Member for Barker, announced the funding last week.

“I am pleased to announce that Gener8 Theatre has received a further $13,500 through the March grant round of the Regional Arts Fund which adds to the $22,500 already contributed to this project,” Mr Pasin said.

“The funding will help Gener8 Theatre to broaden community engagement with the arts and support our growing creative sector in this region.”

The strong message of Cold As Ice is aimed at helping to warn the community and young people in particular of the risks that illicit substances present.
