St Arnaud Set for Ambulance Station Upgrade
St Arnaud's ambulance station will receive modern upgrades, following the State Government's decision to fund a new facility.
Premier Daniel Andrews met with local paramedics earlier this week to discuss the facilities and support required, as work continues to acquire a site for the new facility.
“In a medical emergency every second saves lives.
"That’s why we’re ensuring people in St Arnaud get the right emergency care, quickly, when they need it,” Premier Andrews said.
The current St Arnaud branch was built in 1969 and lacks adequate facilities for a modern ambulance service.
This branch will be replaced by a state-of-the-art station with spacious, functional garages for vehicles, and modern facilities for paramedics – including lounge areas, a kitchen, training rooms and amenities.
