12-15 Year Olds - Are You our Next Community Leader?

Young people aged 12-15 are being encouraged to apply for YMCA SA Junior Parliament.

The October school holiday program provides 12-15 year olds from right across South Australia with the opportunity to find out about parliament, meet new people and develop leadership skills.

Run as a 3 day/2 night camp, participants will learn about democracy and parliament, while improving skills in team building, public speaking and leadership.

Member for Stuart, Dan van Holst Pellekaan MP, encourages young people to apply as soon as possible.

“Junior Parliament gives young people the opportunity to have their say on issues they care about and it would be wonderful to have participants from the electorate of Stuart take part," he said.

The apolitical program is being run over the upcoming school holidays, from October 9-11, at Rostrevor College and Parliament House in Adelaide.

The cost for the program is $220, which covers meals, accommodation and transport while on camp.

To find out more and apply, head to the YMCA SA website.
