Wyomi Beach Works

Following the prodigous storms earlier this month, and prior erosion 12 months ago, the coastal dune at Wyomi Beach just south of Kingston SE was washed away leaving the vegetation, bike track and potentially road, to further undermining and damage.

The Kingston SE Council has taken remedial action with Clark Bros. Excavations placing new holding sand bags and replacing sand with a view of later works being undertaken with Granite rock placement to address further storm erosion issues in the future.

Locals say the beach front is between 20 and 40 metres further inland than the 1970's necessitating a more permanent rock wall solution.
