SA Health Minister Jack Snelling Retires

A good friend of Inside Canberra has resigned as SA health Minister and will retire from parliament at the election next March.

Jack was one of the youngest people to enter the South Australian parliament having been first elected in his mid-twenties.

Apart from being speaker, Treasurer, Minister for the Arts and Health Minister, Jack has managed to father six children with his wife Lucia and he has decided that they no longer deserve a grumpy dad.

After spending 20 years in the bear pit and with a significant legacy of policy success to his name it will be interesting to see what he does next.
