Burra Community School Students Ready to Recycle

Burra Community School Year One students recently visited the Regional Council of Goyder to learn about waste and recycling from the Council's Technical Services Department Representative, Sam Rosser.

The students had pre-prepared questions which they asked Sam.

They watched a “Three R’s” (Reduce, Recycle, Reuse) short video and joined in with learning which bins waste items go into.

“It is important that we educate young children the value of the three Rs so they can grow up with this as normal practice and help spread the word too,” Sam said.

Upon leaving Sam gave out pencils made from recycled material, some colour-in sheets and brochures with information for parents.
