Coonalpyn Main Street - SA's Most Popular?

Flow town Coonalpyn (97.7fm) is in the running to be crowned South Australia's most popular main street of 2017, in the People’s Choice category of the 2017 Mainstreet SA Awards.

South Australians are being urged to vote for their favourite main street of 2017, with the other main streets and town centres in the running being Goodwood Road, Rundle Mall, Stirling Adelaide Hills, and Victor Harbor.

Vivienne Holloway, Chair of Mainstreet SA said: "We know that people love local main streets with their unique charm and character, and our five nominees this year really showcase the diversity to be found in mainstreets around South Australia.

"The People’s Choice Award is an opportunity for the public to celebrate main streets.

"These are all places that the locals love and visitors appreciate."

Coonalpyn's recent addition of a 30-metre mural of local school children on the face of five silo cells has reinvigorated local businesses, and created a traffic-stopping feature along Dukes Highway.
