Jobs Boom for SA's Cairn Hill Mine


Up to 1300 jobs will be created in South Australia's Far North, following the expansion of Cairn Hill mine near Flow region 99.7fm Coober Pedy.


The $800 million expansion comes as iron ore producer CU River was able to secure investment from Jiujiang Mining Australia in 2014, initially investing $20 million.

Production began in June last year, with the production target of one million tonne easily being reached in the space of 12 months.

Successful business has led to further expansion of the mine, Clayton had the story on the Arvo Flow.
