Two Drivers to Face Court over Tintinara Crash

Two drivers will appear in court after a crash at Tintinara earlier this month.

Police will allege that about 10.30pm on Wednesday November 1, patrols were called to the Dukes Highway in the Tintinara township after reports that a car had collided with a truck and another car.

The truck driver was not injured.

Both car drivers ran away from the scene, but were located nearby. They were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Blood samples taken from the drivers at the time were forensically analysed, and both car drivers were found to be over the blood alcohol limit.

The two men, both aged 25 from Tintinara recorded blood alcohol readings of 0.153 and 0.151.

They were both reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, aggravated driving without due care, and both received 12-month immediate loss of licence notices.

They will be summonsed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
