Drug Seizure in Ceduna Leads to Court


Two men will appear in court after an amount of drugs and weapons were seized after a search in Ceduna on Wednesday.


Police will allege that about 11.30am on 22 November, two houses were searched in Kloeden Street and 12 cannabis plants were found growing in the rear yard of one of the houses.

A 45-year-old Ceduna man was reported for cultivating cannabis, and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Dried cannabis, nine cannabis plants and methamphetamine, along with two metal throwing stars and other drug paraphernalia were found when police searched the other house.

A 37-year-old Ceduna man was charged with cultivating cannabis, possess a trafficable amount of a controlled drug and possess a prohibited weapon.

He was bailed to appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court on 29 January 2018.
