Unlicenced Drink Driver Caught at Murray Bridge

A 59-year-old man from Murray Bridge was reported yesterday for drink driving and having an expired driver's licence.

Police stopped the man on Charles Street just before 10am and breath tested him.

He returned an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.157.

Checks revealed his driver’s licence had expired in 1999.

He was issued with a 12 month instant loss of license and his car was impounded for 28 days.

The man will be summonsed to attend the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
