Stone-Cold Thieves Rock Pyramid Hill

Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after cash and tools worth more than $25,000 were stolen from a Pyramid Hill quarry.

Investigators have been told a number of offenders used bolt cutters to break into a Leitchville Road quarry sometime between 5pm on 29 November and 7am on 30 November.

It is believed they drove a vehicle into the quarry before forcing their way into a portable building.

Once inside, they took a safe containing a small amount of money, along with radios and batteries.

They then accessed a ute parked nearby, which they unsuccessfully tried to start, before breaking into a shed, where they took a number of Milwaukee tools including a rattle gun, grease gun, angle grinder and welder, along with a Hypertherm steel cutter.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles entering and leaving the quarry or travelling with the mentioned items on trailers to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report to
