Driver 5 Times Over Limit at Wallaroo


A Wallaroo man has been reported for drink driving after he allegedly registered a blood alcohol reading of 0.265 or more than five times over the limit.


Just before 6.30pm on Wednesday 6 December, a Kadina police patrol attended a shop on Hughes Street Wallaroo following reports of a drunk driver.

The patrols located the vehicle and subsequently breath tested the male driver.

The 55-year-old man allegedly returned a high blood alcohol reading of 0.265 or more than five times over the legal limit of 0.05.

The Wallaroo man was reported for drink driving, and driving under the influence of a alcohol.

His licence was disqualified for a minimum of 12 months and his car was impounded for 28 days.

The man will also be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
