Minlaton Man Comes Under Police Notice

A man has been arrested after he allegedly damaged the noticeboard outside the Minlaton Police Station over the weekend.

At about 10pm on Saturday 16 December, Maitland and Port Victoria Police attended the Minlaton Police Station, following reports of a man banging loudly on the front door of the station.

On police patrol arrival, they found the glass on the police station noticeboard had been smashed and a man wanting to hand himself in for NSW Warrants.

Police checks revealed the man wasn't wanted in NSW and there were no warrants in existence like he thought, but instead the 28-year-old man from Minlaton was arrested and charged with property damage of the police noticeboard.

He has been bailed to attend the Maitland Court on 13 February next year.
