Skenes Creek Drowning

Police are investigating following the death of a man at Skenes Creek beach today.

Emergency services were called after a 41-year-old Sydenham man drowned about 1.20pm.

Victoria Police understands the man was attempting to rescue his two children when he started to struggle.

A family member went to his assistance but he was unable to be revived.

An 8-year-old boy and 12-year-old boy were rescued safely.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
