Wallaroo Township Dry Area on NYE

With Wallaroo on the western side of Yorke Peninusla hosting New Year’s Eve festivities on the foreshore again this year, police at Kadina are reminding the public that this event is alcohol-free.

The Wallaroo township, including the beaches and North beach township is a designated as a 'dry area’ between noon on Sunday (31 December) and 7am on Monday.

In addition, the Wallaroo jetty will be closed to the public from 9pm until 7am.

With the road to the foreshore closed, people are encouraged to park at the Foodland car park and use the courtesy bus to the event which will feature fireworks at 9.30pm and again at midnight.

Police and security will be a present at the event to ensure that everyone enjoys welcoming in the New Year.
