Factory Fire at Murray Bridge
Fire fighters have battled a large factory fire near the intersection of Lagoon Road and Mannum Road at Murray Bridge.
The fire was first reported just before 7pm on Wednesday 3 January, with members of the public advising of a large amount of smoke coming from the local meat processing factory.
At 11.27pm last night, the fire had been contained to one large main building, but extensive damage has been caused to the premises in the blaze.
Fire Cause Investigators are attending this morning to examine the scene.
There have been no reported injuries.
Residents in the vicinity of the fire are advised to close all doors and windows and stay indoors until the smoke has passed.
MFS and CFS crews remained on scene throughout the night.
Road closures were also in place including Lagoon Road and Nilpena Road, police were on scene directing traffic but asked members of the public to please keep clear of the area.
