Traffic Offences on Dukes Highway


A Victorian man has been reported for a number of traffic offences including dangerous driving after being stopped on the Dukes Highway on Saturday.


On Saturday 13 January, police received several calls from motorists regarding a truck on the Dukes Hwy, between Keith and Coomandook.

The truck was reported to have been overtaking on double lines, swerving in and out of the lane, and driving on and off the dirt verge.

Police stopped the driver about 8.30pm and when inspecting the truck, located two TV’s mounted on the dash.

A check of the man’s work diary also revealed a number of alleged breaches.

A 56-year-old man from Victoria was reported for driving in a manner dangerous, driving without due attention, driving with a TV receiver visible and several work diary breaches.

He will be summonsed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
