The offence is alleged to have occurred during October last year, a business on Long Gully Road was broken into and a number of antique items were stolen.

On Tuesday 16 January, following an investigation, police attended a Palmer home where they located several of the stolen items and arrested a 44-year-old man.

He was charged with serious criminal trespass and theft. He was refused bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 5 February.

A man has also been arrested for domestic assault following a disturbance last night.

About 11pm, Wednesday 17 January, police were called to the home following reposts of a domestic dispute.

A 40-year-old Murray Mallee man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

He was issued an intervention order and bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 26 February.
