Farmers Getting Fit For Fun

Concerned about the level of depression in rural communities, Ginny Stevens developed a program for farmers to improve their physical and mental health.

Active Farmers aims to bring local farmers together for not only exercise sessions, but for social, finance and nutritional classes.

Through exercise and interaction, participants are able to become more aware of their health and develop a greater sense of community.

Sarah caught up Ginny on the Regional Roundup to talk a little more about the program.

If you need to reach out, Lifeline is always available on 13 11 14 on or Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636.
