Woman Arrested Following Wye River Car Theft

Apollo Bay police have charged a woman following a car theft on the Great Ocean Road in Separation Creek yesterday.

It is alleged the 40-year-old female stole a campervan which was rented by two female German backpackers, about 5pm.

She was arrested a short time later in Wye River.

The Tasmanian woman has been charged and bailed with theft of motor vehicle and robbery.

She will appear at Colac Magistrates' Court on 26 March.

No one was injured during the incident.
