Australia Day Around Our Regions


Here at Flow we love celebrating our country, so we put together a list of events happening around our regions this Australia Day.


Australia Day Celebrations in South Australia:

Streaky Bay: Streaky Bay Foreshore lawns. 8am start - Breakfast celebrations and awards ceremony from 9:30.

Roxby Downs: Breakfast celebrations start 9am at the Roxbylink Pool - free entry.

Beachport: Breakfast Celebrations - 8am start.

Ceduna: 8am start guest speaker Samela Harris, and citizen of the year – Janet Jacobsen

Community event of the year – Marilyn’s country music muster - enjoy a free breakfast after the ceremony.

Morgan: Breakfast celebrations and family fun day 8am start music and sing along with Mick Kelly at the Morgan Riverfront.

Roseworthy: 7:45 start free BBQ Breakfast – citizen Ceremony – Citizen of the year recipients at the Roseworthy Soldiers Memorial Hall.

Paringa Renmark: Free breakfast from 8-9am at the Jarret Memorial Gardens – James Avenue Renmark entertainment by the Riverland Brass Band, Mick Kelly, Flag Raising, citizenship ceremony, Australia Day award presentations – face painting and craft activities for the kids.

Keith: Australia Day pool party 2pm start at the Keith Swimming Pool free entry, sausage sizzle, canteen facilities, volley ball, noodle races, cricket.

Bruno Bay: Australia Day firework spectacular at Cobdogla Football Oval gates open 6pm $5 entry u12 $2 u5 free - fully catered, sideshows, dodgem cars, jumping castle, teenager’s rides, pizza eating competition, live bands.

Kooroonda: Sandalwood Hall 50 Railway Tce – gold coin donation – guest speaker Dr John Halsey. Games throughout the day prize for best Australian hat – cash prizes for winners of adult and kids categories – 8am start.

Kadina: Australian day eve dinner Thurs 25th Jan guest speaker honouree Dr Lyn Arnold Order of Australia, former premier South Australia $25 per person – drinks at bar prices at the Kadina Town Hall 7pm tickets available at the Kadina Council Officer and Visitor Information Centre.

Lucindale: 11am start free lunch at the Rotunda Centenary Avenue Lucindale.

Robertstown: 8am start Robertstown Oval free breakfast – presentation of Australia day awards and the K.E.S.A.B Awards Bring a chair, table and cutlery.

Bower: Australia Day quiz night 7pm Bower hall organise a table of 8 or join one $8 per person under 16 $5 BYO DRINKS AND NIBBLES.

Eudunda: Free breakfast from 8am award presentations at 9am at the centenary Gardens (Colin Thiele Park).

Australia Day Celebrations in New South Wales:

Narrandera: Marie Basher Park breakfast celebrations Australia day ambassador Dr Stepan Kerkyasharian 8am start.

Corowa: 10am Rowers Park Australia ceremony and awards presentations live performances and entertainment on the river – grab lunch from the food stalls – bring chair or blanket – alcohol and glass free event.

Jerilderie: Luke park & lake Jerilderie – 6:30pm BBQ hot chips and soft drink music by Ray Macartney – spinning wheel draws – glow products for sale – 8pm mayor welcome – and Australia day awards

9:45 fireworks display.

Australia Day Celebrations in Victoria:

Warracknabeal – Anzac Park. Breakfast Celebration, morning tea, Australia day rewards, music and entertainment. Guest Speaker Tanya Huebner 8:00am Start.

Hopetoun: Memorial Hall (Austin St) Breakfast Celebrations and guest speaker 8:00am start.

Beulah: Post Office. Flag Pole Stroll, Breakfast and Guest Speaker. 8am start.

Minyip: Town Square (main street) Breakfast Celebrations and Guest Speaker 8am start.

Rupanyip: Memorial Park (Murtoa Rd) Breakfast Celebrations and Guest speaker 8am.

Murtoa: Swimming Pool. Breakfast Celebrations 8am start.

Woomelang: Memorial Hall. Breakfast Celebrations and guest speaker 8am start.

Tempy: Football Oval Breakfast Celebrations and guest speaker 8am start.

Patchewollock: Town hall. Breakfast Celebrations and Guest Speaker 8am start.

Wallup: Hall. Breakfast Celebrations and Guest Speaker 8 am start.
