EP Youths Arrested Over Stolen Car

Four youths were arrested after a pursuit in a stolen car at Thevenard in the early hours of Monday morning.

A white Mitsubishi station wagon was stolen from the driveway of a Thevenard home about 3.50am on Monday 12 February.

Police briefly pursued the vehicle before it was abandoned and the suspects ran off.

Further inquiries and a search of the area led police to arrest the four youths around 7am on Monday.

Two 15-year-old boys, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old boy, all from the local area, were charged with illegal interference, illegal use, theft and drive dangerously to evade police.

They were bailed to appear in the Ceduna Youth Court on 2 May.
