Taking Action on Asthma


Asthma Australia is the nation's peak body for the condition that affects so many people, calling on the South Australian government to take action on asthma and meet the standards of the rest of the country.


Michele Goldman, CEO of Asthma Australia joined Anita on the Country Viewpoint for more.


Asthma affects 180,000 people in South Australia and the state has the highest rate of asthma hospitalisations in the country.

The Asthma Management Program proposed by Asthma Australia aims to reduce South Australia’s 3,700 annual asthma hospitalisations by 20% over 4 years.
