Pig Truck Blocking Road Around Palmer Hill

A traffic update for people travelling between the Barossa and Murray Bridge - a semi-trailer truck has rolled along the Tungkillo to Palmer Road at the bottom of Palmer Hill.

Authorities say the road will be closed for at least the next 3 hours, as the truck which was carrying a load of pigs needs to be secured.

The driver of the truck is reported to be okay without any major injuries, but some pigs may need to be euthanised.

Alternative routes from the Barossa include going through Springton or travelling along the Sturt Highway via Sedan and Cambrai.
