Help Keep our Country Clean
In 1989 a keen sailor called Ian began a movement to remove rubbish from Sydney Harbour and local waterways - and from there, Clean Up Australia Day was born.
The annual event has gone on to become a nationwide campaign, encouraging Aussies to do their bit for the environment, with more than 32 million hours spent collecting of over 344 thousand tonnes of rubbish in 27 years.
Ian continues to be the Chairman of Clean Up Australia Day, and joined Sarah on Flow FM to talk about how people can get involved.
