Police Drug Raids in Yorke Mid North
Police from Clare, Hamley Bridge, Balaklava, Port Wakefield, Brinkworth, Spalding and Burra along with the Dog Operations Unit, conducted a number of co-ordinated drug searches on premises throughout the Clare Valley and surrounding districts today.
As a result of those searches,
a 55-year-old man from Clare male was arrested and charged with trafficking amphetamine and two counts of unlawful possession after an amount of cash and a mobile phone suspected of having been stolen, were located on the property. He has been bailed to appear at the Clare Magistrates Court on 14 May.
a 47-year-old man from Clare was reported for cultivate cannabis after six cannabis plants were located at his property. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
a 59-year-old woman from Yacka was reported for cultivate cannabis after six cannabis plants were located at her property. Police also located an amount of loose cannabis. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
a 60-year-old man from Australia Plains was reported for possession of prescribed equipment. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Police also issued 11 Cannabis Expiation Notices for possession of cannabis and/or equipment.
Yorke Mid North Police will continue to target those who possess, supply or distribute illicit drugs.
