Drug Driving in the Murray Mallee
Two men are expected to face legal consequences after being detected driving while under the influence of Methylamphetamine while speeding in the Murray Mallee region on Friday (2 March).
Just before 8am a 43-year-old man from Mannum was stopped on Reedy Creek Rd, Pallamana, after being detected driving at 113kph in a 100km zone.
He was issued with an expiation notice after checks also revealed he had a provisional drivers licence.
He also tested positive for Methylamphetamine.
Just after 11.30am on the same day a 59-year-old man from the Mount Gambier region was stopped on Princes Hwy, Ashville, after being detected driving at 119kph in a 110km zone.
He was issued with an expiation notice and also tested positive for Methylamphetamine.
Both men were issued with a direction not to drive and are expected to face further consequences once forensic testing is complete.
