Man Shot with Crossbow at Naracoorte


A man has been arrested after another man was allegedly shot with a crossbow at Naracoorte on Friday night.


Police were called to a home on Panorama Crescent about 8.30pm March 2, following reports that a man had been shot in the chest with a crossbow bolt.

Attending patrols rendered first aid to the 37-year-old man from Naracoorte and he was treated at the scene by paramedics before taken to Naracoorte Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A 39-year-old man from Mount Gambier was arrested at the scene and has been charged with aggravated assault causing harm.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Mount Gambier Magistrates Court today.

The incident is not believed to be random, with both men known to each other.
