Traffic Offender Caught in the Far West
A woman has been charged with several driving offences, including drink driving after police received calls from members of the public over the weekend.
About 6.40pm, Saturday 3 March, police were called to the Eyre Highway near Penong after reports of a white ute driving erratically.
Police will allege they located the car driving with no registration plates and a blown tyre before they managed to stop the car and speak to the driver.
When police stopped the car they breath tested the driver, a 46-year-old Coober Pedy woman, who allegedly returned a positive result of 0.184.
The woman was reported for drink driving, drive unregistered and unisured vehicle and expired licence.
She was also issued a 12 month loss of licence.
The woman will appear in the Ceduna Magistrates Court at a later date.
