Domestic Arrest in Murray Mallee Area

A 59-year-old man from the Murray Mallee area was arrested yesterday for aggravated assault following a domestic dispute.

He has been issued with a police interim intervention order and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 30 April.

The victim received minor injuries.

Police Interim Intervention Orders (PIIOs) now provide police with greater powers to take immediate action to protect individuals and their families not only from violence - but also threatening and controlling behaviour.
