Dark Sky Reserve Lighting up the Night

Australian skies are some of the clearest in the world, providing people a unique opportunity to see the stars as they really should be - free of light pollution.

To help preserve this natural resource for future generations, a dark sky reserve has been mapped out in South Australia's Mid Murray region, aiming to gain international accreditation.

Chris Tugwell, Acting Chairman of Mid Murray Landcare joined Anita on today's Country Viewpoint for all the details.

He began by explaining what a dark sky reserve actually is, and why it's so important not only to our local, but global community.
