Barossa Man Arrested Following Pursuit
A man has been arrested following a pursuit yesterday afternoon.
About 1.30pm, Monday 9 April, police detected a car travelling at 139km/h in a 100km/h zone on Whiteman Road, Williamstown.
Patrols attempted to stop to car but the driver refused.
The pursuit was terminated quickly due to the manner of driving.
The vehicle was located during a search of the Mannum township and they man was located in a nearby home.
The 24-year-old man from the Barossa was arrested and charged with engaging in police pursuit, driving in a manner dangerous, exceeding speed and driving with a suspended licence.
He was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on 6 June.
