Two Arrested After Animals Killed in Naracoorte
Two teenagers have been arrested after chickens were killed at Naracoorte last week.
Police will allege that about 9am on Friday 20 April patrols were called to the high school on Stewart Terrace after 10 dead chickens were found by staff members.
The chickens had been let out of their pens and attacked during the night.
As a result of extensive investigations, Naracoorte Police arrested two boys and charged them with ill treatment of animals, serious criminal trespass and theft, after they broke into a Park Terrace building and stole food.
The boys also allegedly killed two ducks at a private property early last week.
A 14-year-old Naracoorte boy was bailed to appear in the Naracoorte Youth Court on 8 June.
A 15-year-old boy of no fixed address was refused bail and will appear in court later today.
