Man Arrested After Williamstown Oval Damaged
A man will face court after allegedly damaging a football oval with his car.
About 8.40pm, Monday 24 April, police received a number of calls from members of the public reporting someone is driving on the Williamstown Oval.
A quick thinking member of the public locked the gates to stop the car leaving before patrols arrived.
Three passengers ran from the car but the driver was arrested and charged with misuse motor vehicle on a park to cause damage.
His car was also impounded.
The 20-year-old man from Elizabeth Downs was bailed to appear in the Tanunda Magistrates Court on 5 June.
