Man Arrested: Dangerous Driving in the South-East
A man has been arrested after an incident in the State’s south-east earlier today.
It is alleged that about 11.30am on Friday, 27 April, police received reports of a silver Mitsubishi station wagon speeding on the Dukes Highway headed towards South Australia.
SAPOL officers spotted the car and recorded its speed at 159km/h in a 110km/h zone.
The car was not pursued, but information regarding its location was passed to other areas as it sped through the area.
The car stopped in Tintinara and the driver was arrested.
The 53-year-old Victorian man has been charged with numerous offences including driving in a dangerous manner and dangerous speed.
