Scott Redman is believed to have been an occupant of a vehicle involved in a brief police pursuit on Saturday 21 April.
After police terminated the pursuit it is believed the vehicle turned off the Eyre Highway onto a dirt road.
Two days later, 23 April, the other occupant of the car was arrested in Whyalla after he hitchhiked from Middleback Range.
The black SUV was found abandoned on Wednesday 25 April at Secret Rocks, about 40 kilometres east of Kimba.
On Saturday 5 May, Whyalla Police, with the assistance of STAR Group officers, the police helicopter (PolAir) and SES volunteers conducted an extensive search of isolated bushland around Middleback Range.
The search concluded at sunset, with no sign of Scott Redman.
Police are still hopeful that Scott Redman will be found alive and will continue to explore all lines of inquiry.
Scott Redman (pictured) is about 178cm tall, with a slim build, blonde hair, blue eyes and tattoos on his arms.
