Fatal Crash at Struan
A man has died following a two car crash at Struan in the State's south-east this evening.
Just after 6.30pm on Monday 28 May, police and emergency services were called to the Riddoch Highway, approximately 2km north of Struan, after reports that two cars had collided head-on and one had caught on fire.
Emergency services rushed to the crash site however they were unable to save a 58-year-old Mount Compass man who died at the scene.
The driver of the second car, a 26-year-old man received minor injuries and was treated at hospital.
Major Crash Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Riddoch Highway has been reopened to all traffic.
The State's road toll now stands at 32 compared to 30 at the same time last year.
Update 29/05/18: Road Closure at Riddoch Highway
Major Crash investigators will be re-attending Struan to further investigate the fatal crash that occurred yesterday.
Motorists please be advised from 12.30pm until approximately 2.30pm there will be a complete road closure on Riddoch Highway from Caves Road to Settlers Road at Mount Light.
Please avoid the area during this time.
