Man Caught Drink Driving after Mid-North Crash
A man will face court after being detected drink driving at more than six times the legal limit following a crash at Riverton last week.
Just after 12.30pm on Friday 1 June, police were called to the junction of Gilbert Street and Torrens Road.
Police will allege the driver of a Ford sedan failed to give way and collided with a delivery truck.
Patrols breath tested the driver of the Ford sedan who returned an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.312.
The 40-year-old from the mid-north was reported for drink driving and fail to give way.
He was also issued with an immediate 12 month loss of licence and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
The truck was taken to Riverton Hospital for observation and discharged a short time later.
