Update: Missing Caravaner Phillip Starke Located


UPDATE: Missing traveler Phillip Starke and his female companion have been located safe and well!

Police thank the community for their assistance, and know the importance of locating someone as quickly as possible in order to minimise the trauma and anxiety for loved ones.

They encourage friends or relatives to contact police as soon as they become concerned about someone who is missing (you do NOT have to wait 24 hours before reporting someone missing).

Police are seeking the assistance of the public to help locate missing Western Australian man, Phillip Starke.

Phillip Starke, 71, is travelling around Australia with a female companion in a red Mazda BT50 ute, WA registration 1GEO263, towing a caravan, Victorian registration Y18633.

He was last heard from on 8 June and police and his family are concerned for his welfare.


When last in contact, the pair were intending to travel from Peterborough to Alice Springs via the Flinders Ranges.

Phillip Starke is Caucasian, 173cm tall, with a grey goatee.

Anyone who spots Phillip Starke, the ute or caravan, or has information on his whereabouts or movements in recent weeks is asked to contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444.
