Game On in Mannum this August

Imagine learning the alien Klingon language from your favourite Sci-fi series from the 70’s...

It's all happening at the 2018 Game Obsession Expo at Mannum on Sunday August 5!

Australian based Pop Culture Historian Stuart A Blair will be conducting Klingon language workshops and many others created for TV and film, as one of the many activities on offer.

In its third year, the Game Obsession Expo at the Mannum Showgrounds will have all your favourites and will be overflowing with interactive displays for small and big kids alike.

Medieval archers, jousting, Moat Perrier Firing of pumpkins and the Valiant Order of Medieval Entertainers will be roving around the arena.

“Everyone loves to step back in time to the days of King Arthur or to their childhood TV favourites and board games”, said Gavin Pitman, Event Co-ordinator.

“Last year we saw many visitors dress up as their favourite character adding loads of fun on the day and sometimes you did not know who the real entertainers were."

Mid Murray Council Mayor Dave Burgess is also excited about the event, saying: “The Game Obsession Expo will be a place where we can relive our secret TV or comic book obsessions, and I cant wait to see families enjoying a day out in Mannum...and I will not be far from the train display."

Entry is $8 for adults and $2 for children, with the event running from 9.30 am to 4pm.
