New $2 Coin Celebrates Invictus Games Sydney 2018
The Assistant Minister to the Treasurer Michael Sukkar announced The Royal Australian Mint has this week unveiled a new $2 circulating coin symbolising the unconquered spirit of wounded, injured and ill service personnel and veterans across Australia.

Produced in partnership with Invictus Games Sydney 2018, the new coin features an image of a wheelchair competitor and will enter circulation in time for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 to be held from the 20 to the 27 October.
The Hon. Michael Sukkar MP, Assistant Minister to the Treasurer and the Minister responsible for the Mint, said the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 is an opportunity to honour the service and sacrifice of men and women in the Defence community.
“The Invictus Games showcase the bravery, determination and fighting spirit of our wounded veterans, and through the power of sport, help to generate wider understanding and respect for those who serve their country,” Mr Sukkar said.
