Drink Driver Blows 0.296
A man has lost his licence for twelve months after being detected drink driving at Murray Bridge last week.
About 11.30pm on Friday 27 July, police were called to Third Street after reports that a Holden sedan had left the road and crashed into a street sign.
The driver, a 42-year-old Murray Bridge man was not injured as a result of the crash.
The man was breath tested and allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.296, nearly six times over the legal limit.
The man was reported for drink driving, issued with a 12 month immediate loss of licence and his car was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrate Court at a later date.
