Rural Mindfulness Reaching into Riverina
Mindfulness is the practice of 'living in the moment' - being aware of your thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surrounding environment - and accepting these without judging whether they are right or wrong.
People use mindfulness on a daily basis to help with low energy levels, physical tension, poor memory, sleeplessness or anxiety that can build due to a stressful lifestyle.
So how can this practice be applied to a rural setting?
Narelle Hunter is the newest member of the Active Farmers network, and brings mindfulness workshops to regional and remote parts of Australia.
She joined Flow FM on today's Country Viewpoint, ahead of her upcoming workshop in the NSW Riverina region of Jindera.
