Two Arrested Near Truro After Car Theft
Two men have been arrested after they allegedly stole a car from a Truro property this morning.
Just before 8am Thursday 16 August police were called by the victim after his Toyota Hilux was stolen from his Truro property.
The victim had followed the car through the Truro area until the offenders dumped it in a paddock off of Malabeena Road and run from the scene.
The victim was able to detain one of suspects, a 25-year-old Davoren Park man, until police arrived and placed him under arrest, however the second man got away.
Police cordoned the area, and with the assistance of PolAir and police dog PD Iggy and just after 10am police arrested the second man, a 23-year-old man from no fixed address.
Both men are expected to be charged with a number of offences later today.
Police believe the offence may be linked to a theft that occurred between Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 August where a trailer and five motorbikes were stolen from a Truro property.
