Drink-driver Caught at Poochera
A man has had his licence suspended after he was caught drink-driving at Poochera.
Police will allege that about 12.45pm on Tuesday, 28 August patrols were conducting random driver testing when they stopped a man driving a Hyundai sedan on the Eyre Highway.
The 55-year-old man from the State’s far north underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.158. Further checks showed his licence was suspended and the car was not registered.
He was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and had his car impounded for 28 days.
He was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, driving while suspended and driving an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
