Thomas Wetherall Found
Update: Missing Wallaroo man Thomas Wetherall has just been located by Mounted Operations Members! He is safe and with family. Police thank everyone for their assistance.
The search for missing man Thomas Wetherall will be resuming this morning after an extensive land search yesterday.
Thomas was last seen leaving his home address in Wallaroo Mines to walk along a nearby bike track at around 11am 4 September.
Concerns are held for his welfare as Thomas suffers from a medical condition.
Thomas is 30-years-old and described as being Caucasian, 173cm tall, medium build with brown hair and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing black track pants, a black t-shirt and a black or grey jacket.
Yesterday’s search (Thursday 6 September) involved local police, officers from the State Tactical Response Group, members from STAR Group, Mounted Operations, PolAir and SES members. However Thomas was not located.
Today, Friday 7 September, members from Water Operations will be joining the search which continues to focus around the Bird Islands area.
Police urge anyone who sees Thomas or has information on his whereabouts, please call the Police Assistance Line immediately on 131444.
