New $20M Grain Research Facility for Roseworthy

Australian Grain Technologies (AGT) has recently opened its new $20 million facility in Flow region Roseworthy, taking plant breeding and genetics to a new level.

As the leading provider of wheat varieties in Australia, AGT are also working to achieve the same status for other crops including barley, durum and lupins.

The new Roseworthy facility is now the centre of AGT operations and supports the company's three other breeding sites at Narrabri in northern NSW, Wagga Wagga in southern NSW and Northam in Western Australia.

Haydn Kuchel is Chief Executive Officer and Head of Breeding at AGT and joined Flow FM on today's Country Viewpoint to talk about the new site, future grains research and incorporating technology into agriculture.
