Love Food, Hate Waste

Food waste is far too prevalent in our society, with $10 billion worth of good produce being thrown away each year by NSW households.

So what can we do to reduce the amount of food waste in both our personal lives and on a local businesses level?

Love Food Hate Waste NSW is a campaign aiming to encourage the community to do exactly that, offering tips and support, after being modelled on the UK’s Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP).

The program is also delivered in other areas by Sustainability Victoria and Brisbane City Council, with NSW EPA Manager of Organics Amanda Kane sharing more information on today's Country Viewpoint.
