Arid Recovery Saving Threatened Species

Arid Recovery is an animal research and conservation organisation based just outside of Flow region 97.9fm Olympic Dam.

They work with a variety of native wildlife including bilbies, bettongs, mice, quolls and many other small mammals and reptiles found in the area.

With the support of BHP, Arid Recovery have been able to undertake a range of different projects.

Field Ecologist and Community Coordinator Nathan Beerkens caught up with Flow FM to explain what some of the projects involve.
